This article highlights the growing importance of urban logistics in modern cities, while underlining the many challenges it poses. Urban logistics, defined as all activities aimed at organizing and optimizing the flow of goods in urban environments, has become a central element in the way cities function. It supplies people, services and businesses, but also raises complex issues in terms of the environment, energy transition, social issues, transport flow management and adaptation to new technologies.
