3. What are the most common aggregations?

In the context of hazard studies, certain aggregations are more frequently encountered than others. Among the most common are :

  • grouping of equivalent pipes ;

  • the aggregation of dangerous phenomena associated with different breach sizes;

  • the aggregation of hazardous phenomena associated with the functioning or non-functioning of mitigation MMRs for the same feared event.

3.1 Pipe bundling

The circular dated May 10, 2010 mentions that piping systems can be grouped into "a few" equivalent piping systems. This type of grouping is often proposed in the case of pipe racks. The equivalent piping is then characterized by :
