At this stage, non-conformity with the specification is proven within the accepted level of risk, but the relevance of the specifications needs to be questioned.
If your EMTs have been defined in relation to the actual context in which they will be used, this stage of the impact study does not apply to you.
If your EMTs are based either on the values proposed by standards, or on the manufacturer's specifications, you need to make sure that they are adapted to your particular needs. Indeed, standards now make it quite clear: by their very nature, standards are voluntary. Referenced in a contract, it is binding on the parties. In other words, an auditing standard is only used if you want it, or if a contract or regulation requires it.
