3. What are your rights and obligations vis-à-vis the periodic inspection body?

You must use the services of an organization approved by the French Ministry of Ecology. This approval is sector-specific. Organizations are only approved for certain classified installations. You therefore need to check that the organization you choose is approved for the category or categories to which your facilities belong.

Approval orders are published in the Journal officiel de la République française .

Your organization is also required to provide you with an inspection report, in duplicate, within 60 days of its visit. This report must cover all the inspection points listed in the ministerial decree on general requirements, and identify any non-conformities...
