2. Sludge characteristics

The analysis of sludge treatment begins with identifying the type of sludge and measuring its physical, chemical, and biological properties. These steps are essential for predicting the effectiveness of the treatment. The data presented is indicative: each site must characterize its own sludge in order to guarantee a suitable solution.

Classification of waste according to its properties

Waste can be classified into three categories:
