2.1 Definitions

Certain industrial facilities are therefore considered to be likely to cause a nuisance to the environment (Book V, Title 1 ^er of the French Environment Code). These facilities are listed in a nomenclature which, for each type of activity, assigns a heading number and thresholds that determine the regulatory requirements applicable to the facility.
