5.1 Control the risks associated with aging installations
Ageing equipment or installations can be the cause of major accidents involving hazardous substances or preparations in AS classified installations.
It is your responsibility to carry out an initial assessment of the equipment at risk (usually by collecting documents) and to determine and formalize the monitoring of equipment at risk, such as atmospheric tanks, vertical cylindrical overhead tanks, capacities and piping, civil engineering structures, tank beds, retention basins, structures supporting piping, concrete gutters and wet pits in manufacturing units, and instrumented risk control measures.
