5.1 Check performance with on-site tests
When assessing the performance of an MMR in the face of an accident scenario, it is imperative to check that the performance criteria announced in the ESD are in line with the observations made on site.
For example, if the response time for an MMR whose function is to close isolating devices is announced as 20 seconds in the EDD, and during an audit the time measured is 40 seconds, the DREAL inspector will be able to :
or request a reassessment of the consequences of the scenario resulting from the operation of the MMR (if these had been defined in the EDD on the basis of 20-second isolation);
or consider that the manufacturer is not monitoring...
