INTRODUCTION
Instrumented risk control measures (IRCMs) are safety barriers comprising technical and/or organizational elements involving safety instrumentation. More concretely, an IRMM comprises an information input (sensor/detector), a processing system (PLC, relay system, etc.) and an action, which may be automatic or require human intervention to implement.
The decree of October 4, 2010 on the modernization plan for industrial facilities (PMII), requires manufacturers to implement measures to deal with the ageing of instrumented risk management measures (MMRI). The aim is to guarantee that the performance of MMRIs assessed in the hazard study will be maintained over time.
Faced with these new obligations, operators can ask themselves the following questions:
What are the regulatory requirements?
What are the deadlines?
What reference framework can we use?
How do I select an MMRI?
How do you define your monitoring program and plan?
What should a life sheet contain?
