3. Industrial pollution control

Two types of action are possible, depending on whether the pollution occurs before or after the event.

  • Preventive pollution control actions

    First of all, it's important to remember that in any industrial activity, production means managing a material and labor balance. Combating pollution means analyzing this material balance with regard to all the by-products and contaminants likely to end up in the water. It follows that, as part of a non-pollution approach, it is imperative to encourage manufacturers, at a preliminary stage, to invest in prevention by :

    • internal redevelopment, restructuring and separation of wastewater networks, water recycling and reuse... ;

    • modifications to manufacturing processes and "clean" processes, genuine...
