6. Filtration

Whether the water is coagulated or not, settled (floated) or not, it must always be filtered to ensure that insoluble matter is removed as completely as possible (i.e., so that turbidity is reduced to near zero). Filtration is also essential in the deferrization and demanganization of groundwater [G 1 172] , in decarbonation polishing
