1.1 Regulatory definition and structure of a collective self-consumption operation

The massive integration of renewable energy sources into the energy mix raises energy management issues linked to fluctuations in production from these unplannable sources ("fatal" energy). In particular, situations can arise where production is higher than consumption (surplus production situations). Such situations can arise, for example, in the case of buildings with solar photovoltaic panels and electricity consumption at heterogeneous power levels. In order to fully exploit the production potential of renewable energy sources, it may be possible to sell this energy to consumers located nearby, to supply consumption outside the producing building.
