11. Standards in the product development process: general information

Here we consider three metaprocesses:

  • 1) the project management (PM) or product development process as a set of sub-processes and tasks including: program management including quality, requirements engineering, contract review, design (see Note), qualification, industrialization, production, release, integration, acceptance and delivery of products and/or services;

  • 2) the project management and procurement process ;

  • 3) entity management and business management processes on the project owner's and project manager's side This includes system quality functions.

Note :

preliminary design and detailed design (or definition, i.e. the definition of a product's characteristics).
