INTRODUCTION
All injection molding machines have identical basic functions: injection, plasticizing, mold opening, part ejection, mold closing. Traditionally, plastic injection processors have used injection molding machines based on a hydraulic system. Since the early 1980s, a new alternative to the hydraulic system has emerged: the all-electric horizontal injection molding machine.
This concept of injection molding machines was invented in Japan. The main functions remain the same as those of a traditional press, but the clamping, ejection and injection cylinders, as well as the plasticizing motor, have been replaced by servomotors and ball cylinders linked by a transmission system. All movements are controlled by a numerical controller.
