 INTRODUCTION

This article is the continuation of "Injection modeling. Mold filling", in which flow modeling during the filling phase was addressed. We now turn to the modeling of flow during the compaction phase, which takes place after the filling phase to compensate for part shrinkage due to cooling, and which is crucial to part quality.

The second part of the article deals with the problem of part deformation on leaving the mold. These are linked to residual stresses, the causes of which are analyzed and measured at the end of the article.
