INTRODUCTION
To standardize the effectiveness of toxicovigilance in the European Union, the European authorities have developed common obligations via Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation. These obligations are of two types.
An obligation for all Member States to declare certain chemicals: this will include an obligation to notify Member States of product-related information (classification, etc.). For an overview of all the data to be supplied, consult step 1 of How to notify UFI numbers using the IUCLID cloud tool
.[FIC 1749] An obligation to display a unique identification number (known as the UFI number) on the label of chemical products: this number will serve as an identification number for all poison control centers in the EU where the product is marketed.
It is therefore essential to identify the products concerned and how this UFI number is produced. The purpose of this sheet is to guide you through the process.
