9. Conclusions and outlook

Thanks to the use of supported reagents and commercial scavengers, solid-phase synthesis is now accessible to everyone. New syntheses developed in the liquid phase are generally transposed to the solid phase in parallel. The development of new, ever more efficient linkers, the transfer to organometallic chemistry, fluorine and multicomponent reactions are all booming. However, although the use of automatic synthesizers has been present in industrial environments for many years, it remains relatively marginalized in the more traditional academic world.
