5. Conclusion

Analyzing the behavior of submerged structures, subject to the effects of a pressure wave, is an example of a coupled fluid/structure problem, involving a variety of physical phenomena. Numerical simulation of this type of fluid/structure interaction is accessible to engineers through a range of tools (analytical models, "expert" or "general" calculation codes, etc.) and methods (coupled/decoupled, static/dynamic, temporal/frequential approaches, etc.), requiring a certain amount of technical expertise.
