2.1 Types of soluble oils

There are four types of soluble oils, determined by their mineral oil concentration:

  • traditional soluble oils (figure 3 a): mineral oil > 70% ;

  • emulsions (figure 3 b): mineral oil > 40% ;

  • semi-synthetic fluids (figure 3 c): mineral oil < 40% ;

  • synthetic fluids (figure 3 d): no mineral...
