4. Fluid preparation

4.1 Plant cleaning

Cleaning and disinfection of the tank and circuits are very important: they avoid problems and the use of expensive additives in treatment.

This preparation phase is divided into several stages:

  • Systematic plant disinfection: detergents (generally 2%) and/or biocide (generally 0.02%) added to the bath 24 h before draining (without stopping production);

  • complete bath draining ;

  • cleaning of bins and machines of all residues, swarf and deposits;

  • complete system flushing ;

  • fill the system with the fluid at the operating concentration.
