4.1 Plant cleaning
Cleaning and disinfection of the tank and circuits are very important: they avoid problems and the use of expensive additives in treatment.
This preparation phase is divided into several stages:
Systematic plant disinfection: detergents (generally 2%) and/or biocide (generally 0.02%) added to the bath 24 h before draining (without stopping production);
complete bath draining ;
cleaning of bins and machines of all residues, swarf and deposits;
complete system flushing ;
fill the system with the fluid at the operating concentration.
