8. Acceptance and inspection
8.1 Introduction
When purchasing a machine tool, it is advisable to draw up a "consultation specification" covering the main technical choices to be made, with regard to the preliminary specificities of the production tool in question. The main features of the machine tool environment are described in sections 1 to 7. Once the consultation has taken place and a bid has been selected, it is now time to draw up an "order specification" setting out the main technical choices to be made with regard to the final specifications of the production tool selected.
In this section, we'll take a look at an eminently important step which aims to provide a framework, in the "order specifications", for the "acceptance and verification" phase of the production tool as ordered....
