Gantry machine tool; Gantry machine tool

Represents the concept of the high-performance machine. This type of machine tool features a structural and thermo-symmetrical design, enabling it to machine large-volume parts while maintaining high dynamics and material removal capacity (chip flow).

Stick-slip contact ; Stick-slip contact

Refers to a cyclic alternation in the nature of the contact (once sticky, once slippery, etc.) at the interface of two elements in contact. This phenomenon, well known in machining, particularly in the description of tool/material contact, is the result of specific conditions linked to thermomechanical loading in the contact zone under consideration.
