6.1 Choice of materials

Low-pressure turbine (LPT) parts operate at intermediate temperatures, 700 to 800 ˚C, and are made by casting, generally equiaxed, from nickel superalloys highly charged with hardening phase γ [NK15CATu (IN100), NW12KCAHf (MarM 200), NK15CADT (René 77), NK10CWATaTD (René 125)...] (table 2 ).
