4. In-vessel photopolymerization

At the start of the process, a thin layer of liquid photosensitive resin coats the printing plate. UV radiation directed onto the surface of the resin selectively polymerizes parts of the liquid layer, solidifying it. The next step is to form a new layer of resin on top of the previous one, again locally cross-linking the areas of interest. The part is formed by repeating the process iteratively (figure 5 ). As the part is formed, the resin level in the tank increases. At the end of printing, the solid part is immersed in a tank filled with non-crosslinked resin.
