2. Material projection

A photopolymer is sprayed in drop form onto a printing plate. Once deposited on the plate, the photosensitive material is cross-linked under UV light to solidify it. The rest of the process consists of spraying new drops, possibly of a different composition, on top of the previous ones, and building up the required part layer by layer (figure 2 ). At the end of the printing process, the printed part is separated from the tray and can undergo post-processing (removal of supports) and finishing steps (coloring, for example).
