The following description of the energy audit process summarizes the main steps involved.
5.1 Preliminary step
Before committing to an energy audit, it is important to understand what it involves, what can and should be expected from it, the obligations of each party (who does what between the contractor/service provider – whether internal or external – and the applicant/company), the availability of data, and the resources required to achieve the objective.
The objective and scope of the energy audit must be defined as early as possible in consultation between the auditor and the company, in as much detail as possible.
