2. Names and definitions

The energy analysis of a company can take different names, and these are not insignificant because they correspond to different criteria and commitments, which vary in depth depending on the initiators of these names.

Energy diagnostics and audits can be considered equivalent. However, each term is linked to specific document references. The former originates from ADEME specifications, while the latter is explicitly the name of the regulatory requirement to which European standard NF EN 16247 is attached.
