3. How do you manage bio-waste?
Efficient bio-waste management preserves the environment by changing the behavior of the various players involved. It also helps control waste treatment costs. The principle is based on four levers.
3.1 Reduce bio-waste at source
Reducing waste at source is best explained in terms of waste prevention. It involves :
reduce the quantity of bio-waste produced and/or its harmfulness by acting on both production and consumption patterns;
save the raw materials used as inputs in the manufacturing process;
limit the environmental impact of production, processing and transport;
