4. How to recycle biowaste?

Centralized composting and anaerobic digestion are the two main ways of recovering bio-waste produced in large quantities by households or food processing companies. They can be transformed into compost, biogas or fertilizer in the case of material recovery. In addition to material recovery, methanization enables energy recovery. The similarities between the two solutions can be seen in the upstream organization, logistics and exploitation of the results. The table below illustrates this.
