 INTRODUCTION

The Élan law sets a target for reducing the energy consumption of buildings: -40% by 2030, -50% by 2040 and -60% by 2050 compared with 2010, or the achievement of a defined energy performance threshold for each building typology.

To date, all existing commercial buildings over 1,000 m 2 are concerned. The obligation to reduce energy consumption applies to landlords and tenants alike.

To comply with the tertiary decree, it is necessary to :

  • register your buildings covered by this decree in the OPERAT database;

  • evaluate your reference consumption;

  • monitor your consumption;

  • initiate the energy-saving actions identified in your plan submitted to OPERAT.
