1. What are the regulations governing contracts between biomethane producers and natural gas suppliers?

1.1 Decree no. 2011-1597 of November 21, 2011

décret n° 2011-1597 du 21 novembre 2011 sets out the conditions under which biomethane producers can benefit from a contract with natural gas suppliers for the purchase of their production, and the main terms of this contract.

A biomethane producer wishing to benefit from a purchase contract must submit a request to the prefect, accompanied by a file containing the list of documents specified in the present decree. The prefect has two months to issue a certificate to the producer.
