5. The ankles

Anchors are fasteners used to secure mounting brackets for cladding to the supporting structure. Depending on the type of substrate (concrete or small masonry units), different types of anchors can be used (see article [C 962] ). Certain CSTB Technical Reports, notably Technical Report 3194_V3 (2021) and Report 1661_V2 (2011), also recommend the type of anchors that can be used.
