2. The light
2.1 Definitions
Light corresponds to the wavelengths to which the human visual organ is sensitive. Generally speaking, these extreme values, which make up the visible range, are taken to be equal to 360 nm and 830 nm. In practice (in colorimetry, for example), the visible part of the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation is considered to be between 380 and 780 nm. In this range, it is customary to associate a "color" with sub-intervals of this range. Table 1 gives an example of color-wavelength association.
