5.1 General case
The list of minimum points to be checked, depending on the situation, is given in appendix 1 of the decree of April 27, 2012 relating to the terms and conditions for carrying out the inspection mission of non-collective sanitation installations. The table 1 reproduces this appendix.

Standards and norms
There are no standards governing the powers of public sanitation services. SPANCs do not check compliance with standards, which are not compulsory. They do check compliance with regulations.
