French aggregates production has reached around 400 million tonnes per year since 2000, with no significant change since then (cf. [ ]). This production can be broken down as follows:
alluvial aggregates 34% ;
marine aggregates 2% ;
other sands 5% ;
eruptive aggregates 29% ;
limestone aggregates 25% ;
artificial aggregates 2% ;
recycled aggregates 3%.
Aggregates account for more than three-quarters of France's annual mineral production.
