7. Conclusion

The conditions under which concrete is used can be adapted to the construction of specific structures. The so-called special concretes presented in this article highlight the ingenuity of researchers and engineers when it comes to meeting the specific requirements of their environment. This is the case for projection techniques, where developments in materials and equipment mean that they can be used for structures such as tunnels and galleries.

Similarly, large-scale concreting for massive structures such as dams, and underwater concreting for marine works, help to overcome technical challenges.
