3. Clearance and aeronautical easements
The aeronautical servitude plan is an urban planning document appended to the Local Urban Plan (PLU). Its role is to prevent the erection of obstacles in the vicinity of the airport, so as to ensure the safety of aircraft during the approach and take-off phases.
The easement plan is derived from the clearance plan, to which adaptations may have been made in response to obstacles identified on the surface. These adaptations can only be made after an aeronautical traffic study has been carried out to assess the impact of any obstacles on traffic safety in the vicinity of the aerodrome.
The revision of the Technical Instruction on Civil Aerodromes (ITAC) chapter 12 (aeronautical clearances) will result in the use of new clearance surfaces. The characteristics of these will be aligned with those of the International Civil Aviation Organization...
