6. Regularity

The notion of regularity is essential in air transport, especially in short- and medium-haul traffic.

This regularity can be disrupted by airspace saturation and inadequate airfield infrastructure and equipment.

Airspace saturation can be delayed:

  • ensuring a better division of airspace between civilian and military users;

  • by introducing a new generation of radars that allow closer spacing between aircraft;

  • by adapting human resources to traffic monitoring requirements;

  • ensuring that aircraft slots are respected.

Regularity can also be disrupted by weather conditions:

  • wind or fog may prevent the approach;...
