  • Additives: products added to the base waterproofing material (polymer or bitumen) to form the waterproof compound.

  • Assembly: all the processes used to join panels (i.e. strips and/or sheets) to form a watertight seal.

  • Calendering: a geomembrane production method that involves passing a molten waterproof compound between parallel rotating cylinders.

  • Calender: machine with cylinders used to produce geomembranes by calendering.
