8. Conclusion

The evolution of the air transport system is constantly upsetting the balance of the various terminal areas. First of all, the forecast overall growth in traffic (estimated by IATA (International Air Transport Association) at an average of 6% per year) means that we have to design buildings that will, for the most part (growth must be modulated by geographical sector), be constantly expanding (see Note).

This evolution in passenger traffic has led to major changes in the air transport industry's commercial players, which have had a major impact on terminal design (emergence of new airlines, various commercial alliances, all generating new needs). This global phenomenon has led to the development of new types of traffic (competition on fares and services leading to new passenger profiles with different behaviours due to the democratization of air transport)....
