6. Conclusion

The study as a whole shows that the FRP-reinforced high-performance fiber mortar plate reinforcement system is an interesting solution for reducing in-service deflections and the load-bearing capacities of reinforced concrete and timber beams. This makes it possible to reduce the quantities of materials used in floors, or to increase beam spans, thereby reducing the number of vertical carriers. According to the 2010 Grenelle Building Plan progress report, the building sector is the country's biggest energy consumer, accounting for almost 43% of total final energy consumption. It also generates 123 million tonnes of CO 2 per year, or nearly 25% of national emissions. There is therefore an interest in optimizing the mechanical performance of existing structural elements beyond the energy aspects.
