1. Multi-material context and reinforcement structures

The aim of this study is to develop a reinforcement system based on high-performance fiber-reinforced mortar reinforced with composite reinforcements, designed to improve the mechanical performance of reinforced concrete, wood or steel beams. These composite reinforcements consist of carbon or glass fibers embedded in a polymer matrix (FRP). Ultimately, the aim is to develop new "ecomaterials" with better mechanical performance than traditional solutions, and which also meet new construction criteria, namely an ecologically-economic solution. The study is based on beam-type structures made of reinforced concrete, wood or mixed steel-concrete, reinforced with high-performance fiber-reinforced mortar slabs.
