3. Waste sorting and collection

3.1 Sorting of the 9 streams

These two actions should contribute to the preservation of the environment and our resources. This is one of the key points of Law No. 2015-992 of August 17, 2015, on energy transition for green growth. This law is evolving:

1 ^er January 2016 – Mandatory sorting at source for large producers of bio-waste (over 10 tons/year)

March 10, 2016 – Decree on the 5 waste streams (paper, metal, plastic, glass, wood)

July 16, 2021 – Decree on the 7 waste streams (mineral and plaster waste added)

January 1, 2023 – Lowering of the threshold for mandatory sorting of bio-waste (5 tons/year)...
