Tests to determine the mobilizable heat of combustion

In order to determine the mobilizable heat of combustion, the following sequence must be carried out:

• Measurement of the gross calorific value PCS ₁ (MJ/kg) of the material concerned. The density of the material ρ ₁ in kg/m ³ is supplied by the test applicant.

• Carrying out a test according to the standardized thermal program for 1/2 h, on a specimen of dimensions 0.30 × 0.40 (m) and thickness e ₀ (m).
