8. Standard designation of protection functions
The various protection functions making up an electrical protection system are usually designated by a numeric or alphanumeric code. These are standardized by the American ANSI/IEEE standard C 37.2. Table 3 lists the codes for the most commonly used functions, with their French and English wording.
