4.1 Energy efficiency of other machine types

The prototypes produced are 10 kW asynchronous machines. This process can be applied to more powerful machines, where losses are greater (even if efficiency is better on larger machines, losses in watts are greater). We can also assume that the gain will be higher for a high-quality machine working at low induction.

On the other hand, there's every reason to believe that the conclusions will be similar with other types of AC machines, such as synchronous or variable reluctance machines. Potential applications therefore range from a wide variety of motor applications (pumping, ventilation, refrigeration, transport, handling, etc.) to power generation. Some high-power alternators already use grain-oriented laminations...
