4. Safety in IMS
Various safety mechanisms are provided in Rel-5/Rel-6 to ensure safety in the IMS:
user authentication and IPSec tunnelling between the terminal and the P-CSCF during IMS registration;
the introduction of security gateways between security domains;
the I-CSCF(THIG) function at the "home" network output (between the caller's S-CSCF and the called party's I-CSCF).
