3. Complementarity between quantum and classical networks

Quantum telecommunications are not intended to replace classical telecommunications, but rather to complement them by superimposing a quantum layer onto existing communications networks. This approach enhances security against cyberattacks of today and tomorrow, expands capabilities such as quantum state teleportation, and transcends the limitations of classical information systems by leveraging a physical layer of quantum information—which is inherently richer and more secure—enabling new network applications that are impossible to achieve using classical communication alone.
