7. Glossary

Customer / Client

An entity subscribing to a cross-domain service. For the purposes of this article, a customer only establishes contact with the party responsible for providing the service (the BO).

Domaine / Domain

All resources (network, computing, storage) that are the exclusive property of a single administrative entity (e.g. an operator), which is generally responsible for operating such resources.

Partner / Business Partner, BP

An administrative entity (e.g. an operator or a cloud resource provider) which establishes a partnership with the party responsible for providing a cross-domain service and which contributes de facto to the provision of said service. A partner establishes a contract with the party responsible (the BO) for providing the service, but does...
