Soil: an open, multiphase, transient reactor

The presentation of physico-chemical treatment processes shows that they are based on classic process engineering unit operations: thermal treatments, inter-phase transfers, chemical reactions, etc. The major difficulty compared with conventional operations is that we are dealing with a natural anthropized environment, in all its complexity.
